Tradeify Review: Growth vs Select vs Lightning, the Drawdown, Payout Rules and Our Verdict

Tradeify is a futures prop firm with three paths: Growth and Select one-step evaluations and Lightning instant funding. All use an end-of-day trailing drawdown enforced in real time, a 90/10 split, no activation fee and no overnight holding. Payouts are capped per request, with winning-day, buffer or consistency rules by plan. Rating: 3.9/5.
Tradeify's pitch is a friendlier futures rulebook: an end-of-day trailing drawdown instead of an intraday one, no activation fee, news trading allowed and payouts as often as daily. Most of that holds up. What the headline numbers leave out is how much the details vary by plan — two evaluation types with different consistency rules, two payout modes with different buffers and caps, an instant-funded path with its own consistency ladder, and terms that changed three times in a year. This review covers what Tradeify is, the three account types with the numbers at every size, how the end-of-day drawdown really works, the payout rules plan by plan, the rules that end the most accounts, the route to live capital, platforms, costs, pros and cons, a plan picker, a worked $50K account from fee to first payout, and how it compares with other futures firms.

What is Tradeify?
Tradeify is a futures-only prop firm: traders pay a one-time fee for an evaluation or an instant-funded account, trade futures — mainly CME Group markets (equity indices, energy, metals, rates), plus Eurex index and bond futures on Tradovate with an extra data subscription — in a simulated account, and receive a share of the simulated profits as payouts. The company lists its address in Boca Raton, Florida, its chief executive is Brett Simberkoff, and it does not publish a founding year — press coverage dates the launch to between 2022 and 2024. Tradeify runs separate sister brands for forex and crypto; this review covers the futures business.
Scale is easier to describe than to verify. The homepage claims more than $350 million in payouts and over 100,000 traders; those figures are self-reported and unaudited. On Trustpilot the company holds a 4.4 TrustScore from close to 5,000 reviews as of October 2026, with a large majority of five-star reviews and a cluster of complaints about identity checks and unexplained account closures. The 4.8 rating shown on Tradeify's homepage comes from PropFirmMatch, not Trustpilot. The rules below are taken from Tradeify's help centre as of October 2026, and they change often — confirm them at checkout before you buy.
What accounts does Tradeify offer?
There are three ways in. Growth and Select are one-step evaluations: hit a profit target without breaching the drawdown and you move to a sim-funded account. Lightning skips the evaluation and starts funded, at a higher price and with stricter payout consistency. Since the "Tradeify 3.0" update in April 2026, all plans are one-time purchases rather than monthly subscriptions, and there is no activation fee on any of them.

|---|---|---|---|
| Evaluation | One step | One step | None — instant funding |
| Profit target | 6% of account size | 6% of account size | — (profit goal before the first payout) |

| 150K | $9,000 | $5,000 | $4,500 | $5,250 | $3,750 | 12 / 120 |
Lightning's daily loss limits are $1,250, $2,500 and $3,000 on the 50K, 100K and 150K accounts, with none on 25K. Contract limits apply to accounts bought after 12 September 2025, and Select funded accounts start below the maximum and scale up as profit builds. Tradeify also lists a larger Select 300K account with its own terms.
How does the end-of-day trailing drawdown work?

Every Tradeify account uses an end-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown. The floor sits a fixed distance below your balance and is recalculated from the balance at the close of each session — so an intraday spike to a new high that you give back before the close does not drag the floor up. That is the big advantage over intraday trailing drawdowns, which ratchet up on every unrealised peak. The catch is in the enforcement: the floor is updated at the close but enforced in real time, so if your equity touches it at any moment during the day, the account fails.
On a $50K account with a $2,000 drawdown, the floor starts at $48,000. Finish day one at $50,800 and the floor moves to $48,800; run up to $51,200 intraday on day two and close at $50,900, and the floor only moves to $48,900. On sim-funded accounts the floor stops trailing at the starting balance plus $100 — $50,100 in this example — once it gets there, or when you request your first payout. Evaluation accounts never lock, so the floor keeps following your end-of-day highs until you pass.
What are the Tradeify payout rules?

Sim-funded payouts are split 90/10 in the trader's favour, paid through Rise or Plane by bank transfer or crypto, and Tradeify says most are processed within 24–48 hours. What differs by plan is how often you can ask and how much each request can be:
| Plan | When you can request | Conditions | Minimum | Cap per request (50K) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth (funded) | After 5+ winning days | 35% consistency; winning days of $150+ on 50K; a minimum balance above the start | $500 on 50K | $1,500 on the first, rising with later payouts |
| Select Flex | Every 5 winning days | Winning days of $150+ on 50K; up to 50% of total profit per request; no buffer, no daily loss limit, no consistency rule | $250 | $2,500 (accounts bought after 1 Sep 2026) |
| Select Daily | Any day | Up to 2× the profit since the last request; a $2,100 buffer and a $1,000 daily loss limit on 50K; no consistency rule | $250 | $1,250 (accounts bought after 1 Sep 2026) |
| Lightning | After each profit goal | $3,000 profit for the first payout on 50K, less after; consistency 20%, then 25%, then 30% | $1,000 | $2,000 for payouts 1–3 |
The winning-day thresholds scale with size — $100, $150, $200 and $250 of profit on 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K — and the caps scale the same way. Two patterns matter more than any single number. First, on Growth and Lightning, consistency rules cap how much of your profit can come from one day (Select funded accounts have none): at 35% on Growth funded accounts, a single $1,000 day needs at least $2,857 of total profit behind it before you can be paid. Second, caps mean a big month is paid out over several requests, so the account has to survive long enough to collect it. Tradeify changed the Select caps on 1 September 2026; accounts bought earlier keep their old caps. Select Daily funded accounts also run a smaller drawdown than the evaluation on the larger sizes — $2,500 on 100K and $3,500 on 150K.
Which Tradeify rules end the most accounts?
| Rule | What it says | Why it catches people |
|---|---|---|
| Drawdown touched intraday | The EOD floor is enforced in real time | Traders assume "end-of-day" means losses only count at the close |
| No overnight or weekend holding | Positions must be flat by 4:45 PM ET (12:59 PM ET on holiday sessions); open positions are closed automatically | Auto-closing does not fail the account, but it can close a trade at a bad price |
| Hedging | No opposite positions in the same or correlated products (ES vs NQ), including across accounts | Copying the same idea long and short across accounts is a violation |
| Microscalping (funded) | More than half of trades and more than half of profit must come from trades held over 10 seconds | Scalpers on fast instruments can drift below 50% without noticing |
| Consistency | 40% in Select evaluations, 35% on Growth funded payouts, 20–30% on Lightning; none on Select funded | One outsized day blocks the pass or the payout |
| Inactivity | At least one trade per week | Accounts left idle during a break are closed |
| Copy trading | Allowed only across your own accounts, all in the same direction — Tradovate Group Trading, the WealthCharts copier, or third-party copiers at your own risk | Copying someone else's signals or a "pass your challenge" service ends the account |
Some things are more permissive than at many futures firms. Tradeify's news-trading rule lists no restrictions or blackout windows. Bots and automated strategies are allowed if you own them, can prove it, do not run them at other firms and they are not high-frequency. The daily loss limit on Growth is soft — hitting it ends the day, not the account. A household can hold up to five funded accounts.

How do you get from sim-funded to a live account?
All evaluation and funded accounts are simulated. Tradeify's live track is called Elite Live: traders become eligible for consideration after three payouts on one account or ten payouts in total. Elite Live accounts start at a $0 balance with an 80/20 split, daily payouts, no daily loss limit, and an end-of-day drawdown of $1,500 to $6,000 depending on size; a trader can hold up to five. Tradeify's FAQ says this typically happens after four to five payouts on a single account, so treat eligibility as a review, not an automatic promotion. Sim-funded and live accounts cannot be active at the same time.
Which platforms does Tradeify support?
| Platform | How it connects | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Tradovate (web and mobile) | Native | The default route; Group Trading copies across your own accounts |
| TradingView | Through Tradovate | Chart and trade from TradingView with a Tradovate login |
| Tradesea, Sierra Chart, Quantower, R|Trader | Through Rithmic | Rithmic routes added in 2026 |
| WealthCharts | Integrated | Charting and order entry |
| NinjaTrader | With Tradovate credentials | Listed on Tradeify's supported-platforms page |
Level 1 market data is included; Level 2 depth is an optional extra. The price of the account is the same whichever platform you choose. If you are deciding between connection routes, the Rithmic vs Tradovate comparison and the Tradovate review cover the trade-offs, and prop firms that use TradingView lists the alternatives.
What does Tradeify cost?
| Size | Growth | Select | Lightning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $99 | $109 | about $345 |
| 50K | about $145 | about $165 | about $492 |
| 100K | about $255 | about $265 | about $660 |
| 150K | about $369 | about $369 | about $796 |
Tradeify confirms the 25K prices ($99 Growth, $109 Select) directly; the others are list prices reported by comparison sites in August–September 2026, and the homepage routinely runs promotions that move them. Resets are available on Growth and Select (not Lightning), and there is no activation fee when you pass. For context on where these sit in the market, see the cheapest prop firms comparison.
What are the pros and cons of Tradeify?
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| End-of-day trailing drawdown on every plan | The floor is enforced intraday, which surprises many traders |
| One-time fees and no activation fee | Prices and promotions change frequently |
| News trading allowed; owned bots allowed | Strict hedging rule across correlated products and accounts |
| Three paths, including daily payouts (Select Daily) | Caps per request on every funded plan; consistency rules on Growth and Lightning |
| 90/10 split and fast processing claims | All funded accounts are simulated; Elite Live is by review |
| Wide platform choice via Tradovate and Rithmic | No overnight or weekend holding |
| Large community and active support | Recurring complaints about verification and closures; rules changed several times in 2025–2026 |
Our rating: 3.9 / 5. Tradeify's rulebook is one of the more trader-friendly in futures — end-of-day drawdown, no activation fee, news trading allowed — and the help centre is detailed. It loses points for complexity (three plans, two payout modes, size-dependent caps and consistency rules), for frequent changes that make last month's advice wrong, and for a path to live capital that is by review rather than a clear rule.

Worked example: a $50K Select Flex account from fee to first payout
An illustrative path using the October 2026 rules. The trader buys a 50K Select evaluation (about $165). The target is $3,000 with a $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown, no daily loss limit, at least three trading days, and the 40% consistency rule — so no single day can be more than 40% of the total profit, which means the best day can be at most $1,200 if the trader passes at exactly $3,000. They pass in six sessions with daily results of +$900, +$450, −$300, +$700, +$650 and +$600: total $3,000, best day $900 (30%). No activation fee is due.
In the funded account they choose Flex payouts. The floor starts at $48,000 and trails end-of-day balances. Over the next eight sessions they make $2,400 with five days of at least $150 profit, which makes them eligible. Select Flex allows up to 50% of total profit per request, so they request the maximum, $1,200 — under the $2,500 cap for new 50K Flex accounts and above the $250 minimum. Because the end-of-day balance has already passed $52,100, the drawdown floor has locked at $50,100; after the payout the balance is $51,200, leaving $1,100 of room above the floor. At 90/10 they receive $1,080. The account cost $165, so the trader is ahead after one payout; the real test is the next ten weeks, not the first two.
How does Tradeify compare with other futures prop firms?
Tradeify sits in the same group as Topstep, Apex Trader Funding, MyFundedFutures, Lucid Trading and Take Profit Trader: one-step futures evaluations on simulated accounts with end-of-day or intraday trailing drawdowns. Its distinguishing features are the choice between Flex and Daily payouts on Select, the instant-funded Lightning path, and permissive rules on news and owned bots. Its weak points are the number of moving parts and how often they change. Before choosing any of them, read the drawdown type first — end-of-day versus intraday trailing decides how much room a strategy really has — and then the payout consistency rule.
What mistakes do traders make with Tradeify?
- Treating "end-of-day drawdown" as permission to go below the floor intraday. The floor is enforced in real time.
- Passing Select with one big day. Its 40% consistency rule applies in the evaluation.
- Choosing Select Daily without noticing its buffer and daily loss limit, which Flex does not have.
- Holding into the 4:45 PM ET flat time and letting the auto-close exit the trade.
- Running the same position long on one account and short on another — a hedging violation.
- Microscalping a funded account until fewer than half the trades last 10 seconds.
- Reading last quarter's review. Caps, prices and contract limits changed in September 2025, April 2026 and September 2026.
Who is Tradeify for, and how does it fit with the free indicators?
Tradeify suits intraday futures traders who like an end-of-day drawdown, want the option of frequent payouts, and are comfortable reading a detailed rulebook. It suits swing traders poorly — nothing can be held overnight — and it punishes strategies that rely on one big day. Whatever the firm, the edge still has to come from the chart. The SessionScope script marks the session windows that most futures moves start from, Institutional Key Levels plots the prior day and week extremes that act as targets, and the Smart Money Concepts Engine prints the structure breaks for entries. Zeno, the premium engine, prints buy and sell signals with a built-in stop and targets — a fixed stop is the simplest way to respect a drawdown floor. For the evaluation itself, read the prop firm trading strategy guide.
Tradeify offers one of the friendlier futures rulebooks — end-of-day trailing drawdown, no activation fee, news trading and owned bots allowed — but the friendliness is spread across three plans and two payout modes with different consistency rules, buffers and caps. Choose the plan from how you trade and how you want to be paid, respect the real-time enforcement of the floor, keep your best day under the consistency limit, and re-check the help centre before buying, because the terms change often.

Questions traders ask about Tradeify
Tradeify is an established futures prop firm with a public help centre, a Boca Raton, Florida address and a 4.4 Trustpilot score from about 5,000 reviews as of October 2026. Its payout figures are self-reported, its funded accounts are simulated, and recurring complaints concern verification and account closures — read the rules before buying.
Both are one-step evaluations with a 6% target and an end-of-day trailing drawdown. Growth has a soft daily loss limit, no evaluation consistency rule and a one-day minimum; Select has no daily loss limit, a 40% consistency rule, a three-day minimum, and a choice of Flex or Daily payouts once funded.
An instant-funded account with no evaluation. It costs more, has its own drawdown and daily loss limits, requires a profit goal before each payout, and applies a consistency rule that steps from 20% to 25% to 30% across payouts.
Yes, on all plans. The floor is recalculated from the end-of-day balance, so intraday peaks do not move it, but it is enforced in real time: touching it during the session fails the account. On funded accounts it locks at the starting balance plus $100.
Select Daily allows requests any day; Select Flex and Growth require five winning days per payout; Lightning pays after each profit goal. All sim-funded payouts are split 90/10 and capped per request by plan and size.
Yes. Tradeify's news-trading rule lists no restrictions or blackout windows; you trade releases at your own risk.
Bots are allowed if you own them, can prove it, do not run them at other firms and they are not high-frequency. Copy trading is allowed only across your own accounts, all in the same direction — through Tradovate Group Trading, the WealthCharts copier or a third-party copier at your own risk; copying other people's signals is not.
Tradovate, plus TradingView and NinjaTrader with Tradovate credentials; Tradesea, Sierra Chart, Quantower and R|Trader through Rithmic; and WealthCharts.
No. Since the April 2026 update, plans are one-time purchases and there is no activation fee on Growth, Select or Lightning.
Through Elite Live, which traders become eligible to be considered for after several payouts — three on one account or ten in total per the Elite programme page. Live accounts start at a $0 balance with an 80/20 split and daily payouts.
