Funded Trading Plus Review: Programs, Rules, Payouts and Trust

Funded Trading Plus (FT+) is a London-based prop firm founded in 2021 that sells simulated forex, index, metal, energy and crypto CFD accounts on MT5 and Match-Trader. Its current lineup is the 1-Step Express (10% target), the 2-Step Classic (7% and 7%), Instant Funding (no evaluation) and new low-cost Activation accounts, with prices from about $89 to $999 for evaluations and an 80% base profit split. Payouts can start from day one on 1-Step and Instant accounts. Its drawdown limits are tighter than most rivals (4% daily, 6% trailing on 1-Step), it was acquired by Instant Funding in May 2026, and Trustpilot has hidden its rating after removing fake reviews. It suits disciplined traders who value fast payouts; check the current rules before buying.
Funded Trading Plus built its name on two promises: no time limits and fast payouts. Since then it has changed platforms twice, rebuilt its programs and been bought by a rival. This review covers what you actually get in October 2026: every program and price, the drawdown rules that decide most failures, how payouts work, who owns the firm now and the trust questions you should weigh. A calculator below turns any program and account size into dollar limits and a payout estimate.

What is Funded Trading Plus?
Funded Trading Plus (often shortened to FT+) is a proprietary trading firm launched in 2021. It grew out of Trade Room Plus, a trading community and YouTube channel that started in 2013, which is why some of its marketing says "since 2013". Its website names Acello Ltd, registered in England and Wales and based in London, as the company behind the brand, with a Saint Lucia company (IF Pro Ltd) offering the simulated programs. Simon Massey is listed as CEO and co-founder.
In May 2026 Funded Trading Plus was acquired by Instant Funding, another prop firm, in a deal reported by Finance Magnates. Both firms said rules, payouts, dashboards and support would stay the same; reviews since then suggest the experience has not been entirely unchanged, as covered below.
Like most online prop firms, FT+ sells evaluations and funded accounts on simulated capital. You pay a fee, trade under its rules and, if you qualify, receive a share of the simulated profits as a payout. The firm is not a regulated broker. If the model is new to you, our guide to what a prop firm is explains how evaluations, simulated capital and profit splits work.
What programs does Funded Trading Plus offer?
FT+ rebuilt its lineup around four programs. Its older Experienced, Advanced, Premium and Master programs are now marked as legacy in its help centre, so many reviews you find online describe rules that no longer apply.
| 1-Step Express | 2-Step Classic | Instant Funding | Activation | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Profit target | 10% | 7% then 7% | None | 2% |
| Daily loss limit | 4% (from prior-day balance) | 4% (from prior-day balance) | 6% | 4% in the challenge |
| Maximum loss | 6% trailing, locks at starting balance | 8% static | 6% trailing, locks at starting balance | 6% static in the challenge |
| Minimum days / time limit | None / none | None / none | None / none | None in the challenge |
| Leverage (forex) | 1:30 | 1:50 | 1:30 | Not confirmed |
| Base profit split | 80% (90% add-on) | 80% (85% add-on) | 80% (90% add-on) | 80% |
| Special rules | Weekend holding allowed | 35% consistency rule in evaluation; 3% loss limit per symbol | No weekend holding (auto-close Friday) | 25% consistency rule at payout |

A few rules apply across programs: you must open and close at least one trade every 30 days or the account is breached; news trading is allowed within the firm's policy; Expert Advisors are allowed but grid, arbitrage and tick-scalping strategies are banned; and copy trading is only allowed between your own accounts. Accounts are swap-free.
The 2-Step symbol loss limit deserves attention: losing 3% of the account on a single instrument breaches the account even if your total drawdown is fine. That catches traders who scale into one losing position.
How much does Funded Trading Plus cost?
List prices in US dollars, including VAT, as published in October 2026. FT+ runs discount codes almost constantly (often 20% to 30% off), so few people pay list price.
| Account size | 1-Step Express | 2-Step Classic | Instant Funding | Activation (fee after passing) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | — | — | $249 | — |
| $10,000 | $99 | $89 | $429 | — |
| $25,000 | $199 | $169 | $1,099 | $179 |
| $50,000 | $349 | $319 | $2,199 | $299 |
| $100,000 | $549 | $549 | $4,499 | $489 |
| $200,000 | $999 | Not confirmed | — | $969 |
Activation accounts cost $4 to start; you only pay the activation fee if you pass the 2% target. Instant Funding skips the evaluation, which is why it costs several times more for the same size.
Fees are refundable only within 14 days of purchase and only if the account has not been traded. Unlike some rivals, FT+ does not refund the evaluation fee when you pass or with your first payout. Our list of the cheapest prop firms compares entry prices across the industry.
How do Funded Trading Plus payouts work?
- 1-Step Express: first payout from day one once you are in profit, then every 7 days (every 3 days with a paid add-on). Minimum $50.
- 2-Step Classic: first payout after 10 calendar days, then every 10 days. Minimum 1% of the starting balance.
- Instant Funding: from day one, then every 7 days. Minimum $50.
- Activation: every 10 trading days, with a minimum of 3% of the balance and $50.
Before any payout you must pass identity checks (KYC), sign a contractor agreement and close all open trades. FT+ says requests are processed within about two business days, or five to seven if they go to risk review. Payouts are made in crypto or through Rise.
The firm advertises a scaling plan: on 1-Step and Instant accounts, each 10% of profit can roughly double the account, up to $2.5 million (or more with a paid add-on). On the 2-Step, each 20% profit step allows a scale-up, with at least two months and one payout between requests.
What rules decide pass or fail?
Most failed FT+ accounts come down to drawdown, not the profit target:
- Trailing maximum loss on 1-Step and Instant. The 6% floor follows your highest balance until it reaches the starting balance. On a $100,000 account, if you reach $104,000 your floor rises to $98,000, so a 6% give-back from the peak breaches you even though you are still up overall.
- The daily loss limit is 4% on evaluations, measured from the previous day's closing balance. FT+'s own pages describe the Instant account's daily limit slightly differently (balance-based on the website, higher of balance or equity in the help centre), so check the version that applies to your account.
- Consistency rules. The 2-Step Classic caps how much of your profit can come from a single day (35% in the evaluation), and Activation accounts apply a 25% rule at payout. One big day can delay your pass or payout.
- The symbol loss limit on 2-Step accounts (3% per instrument).
- Inactivity: no closed trade in 30 days ends the account.
Plan risk per trade around these numbers. With a 6% trailing limit, risking 1% per trade leaves room for only a handful of consecutive losses. Our prop firm trading strategy guide covers position sizing for tight drawdowns.
Is Funded Trading Plus legit? The trust issues
Funded Trading Plus is a real company that has operated since 2021 and says it has paid traders more than $19.5 million, a figure it publishes itself and that has not been independently audited. Several points deserve weight before you buy:
- Trustpilot has hidden its score. In late September 2026 Trustpilot showed about 2,700 reviews for FT+ but no TrustScore, with a notice that the rating was unavailable because of a breach of its guidelines and that fake reviews had been removed.
- Complaints since the takeover. Recent reviews from July to October 2026 describe funded accounts taking days to activate, slower payouts, disputed trade closures and slippage, wider spreads and slower support after live chat was removed. Several reviewers link the decline to the Instant Funding acquisition.
- Frequent platform and rule changes. The firm moved from MetaTrader to DXtrade in early 2024, then to Match-Trader, before bringing MT5 back for non-US traders, and it has replaced its whole program lineup. Changes like these are common in the industry but make old reviews unreliable.
- Simulated capital. As with almost every online prop firm, your account is simulated and the firm is not regulated as a broker.
On the positive side, older reviews and comparison sites describe smooth payouts, and FT+ remains a well-known name with a large community. Weigh recent experiences more heavily than the firm's history, start with a small account and withdraw early.

Which platforms and markets are available, and who can join?
FT+ currently offers MT5 and Match-Trader. Availability depends on where you live: traders in the United States are accepted but use Match-Trader only. Many older reviews still list MT4, cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLocker, which are no longer offered.
Markets are CFDs on forex, metals, indices, energies and crypto, with crypto tradable at weekends. There are no futures programs; if you want futures, look at firms such as those in our My Funded Futures review. Commission is reported at $7 per lot round trip on forex, metals and energies, with no commission on indices and crypto.
The firm restricts sign-ups from a list of countries that includes Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba and Vietnam, among others. US traders looking for alternatives can compare options in our guide to prop firms for US traders.
How does Funded Trading Plus compare?
| Firm ($100K) | List price | Targets | Daily / max loss | Base split |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FT+ 1-Step Express | $549 | 10% | 4% / 6% trailing | 80% |
| FT+ 2-Step Classic | $549 | 7% / 7% | 4% / 8% static | 80% |
| FTMO 2-Step | €540 | 10% / 5% | 5% / 10% static | 80% |
| The5ers High Stakes | $495 | 8–10% / 5% | 5% / 10% static | 80% |
| FundedNext Stellar 2-Step | $549.99 | 8–10% / 5% | 5% / 10% | 80% |
At the $100,000 level FT+ costs about the same as its best-known rivals. Its strengths are speed (payouts from day one on 1-Step, no minimum days) and no time limits. Its weaknesses are tighter drawdowns than most peers, which typically allow 10% maximum loss, and the trust questions above. Figures for other firms are list prices from their own pages and comparison sites in 2026; rules change often.
What are the pros and cons of Funded Trading Plus?
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| No time limits and no minimum trading days on evaluations | Tight drawdowns: 4% daily, 6% trailing on 1-Step and Instant |
| First payout from day one on 1-Step and Instant; weekly cycles | Trustpilot score hidden after fake reviews were removed |
| Choice of evaluation, instant and low-cost activation models | Service complaints since the May 2026 acquisition |
| Accepts US traders (Match-Trader) | No fee refund on passing; consistency and symbol-loss rules on some programs |
| Swap-free accounts, crypto at weekends | Simulated, unregulated, and rules have changed often |
Our verdict: 3 out of 5. The structure and payout speed are competitive, but tight drawdowns and recent trust signals mean it is better for disciplined traders who start small than for anyone counting on a large first account.
How does Quantum Algo help with a Funded Trading Plus account?
Tight, trailing drawdowns punish late entries and wide stops more than anything else. A clear plan with defined entries, stops and targets is what keeps a prop account alive.
The free Quantum Algo indicators mark structure, liquidity sweeps and order blocks on TradingView. Zeno, the premium engine from Quantum Algo (QuantumAlgo), prints signals with an entry, a stop and two targets on forex, gold, indices and crypto, so you can size every trade to your account's loss limits, and every call is on the public track record.
Funded Trading Plus offers 1-Step, 2-Step, Instant and Activation programs on MT5 and Match-Trader, with an 80% base split, no time limits and payouts from day one on some accounts. Its drawdowns are tighter than most rivals, especially the 6% trailing limit, and since the May 2026 Instant Funding takeover Trustpilot has hidden its score and complaints have risen. Read the current rules, size trades to the loss limits and start small.
