E8 Markets Review: Challenges, Rules, Payouts, Platforms, Pros and Cons

E8 Markets (formerly E8 Funding) is a Dallas-based prop firm founded in 2021 with one-step forex challenges — E8 One with adjustable target and drawdown, and E8 Pro with a static 8% drawdown — plus the E8 Zero futures programme, on accounts from $5,000 to $500,000. Splits run up to 100%, payouts start at $100 and US traders are accepted on TradeLocker and Match-Trader. Watch the trailing drawdown, the 40% best-day rule when funded and the 60-day activity rule.
Most prop firms sell fixed rules; E8 Markets lets you choose yours. That flexibility, fast payouts and access for US traders have made it one of the better-known forex firms — and its rules have enough fine print to fail traders who skip it. This review covers the programmes, the drawdown mechanics, the other rules, payouts, platforms and how E8 compares.

What is E8 Markets?
E8 Markets, known as E8 Funding until its rebrand, is a proprietary trading firm founded in November 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Traders pay a fee for an evaluation on a simulated account; those who reach the profit target without breaking the drawdown rules get a funded (simulated) account and a share of the profits. E8 offers one-step challenges — E8 One, E8 Pro and the budget E8 Signature — and a futures programme, E8 Zero, on account sizes from $5,000 up to $500,000.
The short verdict: E8 Markets is one of the more flexible forex prop firms — E8 One lets you set your own target and drawdown at checkout, payouts are fast, and US traders are accepted. Watch the details: the trailing drawdown, the consistency rule in the funded stage, the 60-day activity rule and the platform limits for US clients. Below we cover the programmes, rules, payouts, platforms, pros and cons.
What challenges does E8 Markets offer?
| Programme | Market | Target | Drawdown | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| E8 One | Forex, CFDs | 6% by default (adjustable) | 3% daily; 4% trailing max that locks at the starting balance (adjustable) | One step, no time limit; target and drawdown can be changed at checkout |
| E8 Pro | Forex, CFDs | 8% | 2.5% daily; 8% static max | Daily profit above 2% does not count toward the target; daily payouts |
| E8 Signature | Forex, CFDs, futures | 6% | Fixed amount from the highest end-of-day balance (e.g. $2,000 on $50K); 2% daily pause when funded | Cheapest option; positions closed daily (no overnight or weekend holding); 35% best-day rule; 80% split |
| E8 Zero | Futures | About 6% | 3% end-of-day; no daily limit | No overnight holding and no EAs; consistency rule in the challenge only |
E8 One is the flagship: one phase, no time limit, and rules you set in the configurator — choose the drawdown and the payout split and the target and price follow. In the configurator a $100K E8 One at 6% drawdown and an 80% split shows a $9,000 target, $6,000 dynamic drawdown, $4,000 daily drawdown and a 40% consistency rule, listed at $488 and often discounted 30%; E8's help centre describes a lighter preset (6% target, 3% daily, 4% trailing). Read the rules on the configuration you actually buy. E8 Signature is the budget option with softer rules but no overnight holding. The what is a prop firm guide explains how evaluations work in general.

How does E8's drawdown work?
On E8 One the daily drawdown is a hard breach: lose more than the daily limit in a day and the account fails. The maximum drawdown trails your highest balance until it reaches the starting balance, then stops — so early profits raise the floor, and once the floor reaches the initial balance it stays there. On E8 Pro the maximum drawdown is static at 8% below the starting balance, but the daily limit is tighter at 2.5%.
Trailing drawdowns catch traders who give back profits: a $100,000 account with a 4% trailing limit that runs to $103,000 has a floor of $99,000, not $96,000. Size positions for the floor you have, not the one you started with. Position sizing and risk management cover the arithmetic, and prop firm trading strategy covers how to pass under these rules.
What are the other E8 rules?
| Rule | E8 One | E8 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Time limit | None; place and close a trade at least every 60 days | None; same 60-day activity rule |
| Consistency | Funded stage: no single day above 40% of total profit | No consistency rule; daily profit above 2% not counted toward target |
| News trading | Allowed in the challenge; restricted when funded | Check the programme page |
| Overnight and weekend | Allowed | Allowed |
| EAs | Allowed | Check the programme page |
| Maximum allocation | $500,000 per product per household | $500,000 per product per household |
Two rules cause most surprises. The 40% best-day rule on E8 One's funded stage means one big day cannot make up most of a payout — spread the profit over several days. And the 60-day activity rule closes accounts that sit idle. E8 runs no scaling plan on its current products; size is capped at $500,000 per product per household.

How do E8 payouts work?
Funded traders on E8 One choose an 80%, 90% or 100% profit split (higher splits cost more); E8 Pro allows payout requests every day with splits up to 100%. The minimum payout is $100, paid through Rise or WorkMarket, and reviewers report a median of about 24 hours from request to money received. The challenge fee is not refunded with the first payout, unlike at some firms. As with every prop firm, the "funded" account is simulated and payouts come from the firm.
Which platforms does E8 Markets offer?
| Platform | Available to |
|---|---|
| TradeLocker | All traders, including the US |
| Match-Trader | All traders, including the US |
| cTrader | Non-US traders |
| MetaTrader 5 | Non-US traders |
| E8 Terminal | Perpetual futures (via Hyperliquid) — the "Perpetual" tab in the configurator |
| Tradovate | E8 Zero futures (per reviewers) |
E8 has a history here: in 2024 a licensing dispute between MetaQuotes and E8's MetaTrader provider forced E8 to move traders off MetaTrader over a weekend, which is why it built out TradeLocker, Match-Trader and cTrader. MT5 is available again for non-US traders, but US clients can use only TradeLocker and Match-Trader. None of these is TradingView itself; TradeLocker uses TradingView-style charts. The prop firms that use TradingView guide covers firms with direct TradingView trading.
Can US traders use E8 Markets?
Yes. E8 is a US-based firm and accepts US traders on its forex and futures programmes, with the platform restriction above: TradeLocker and Match-Trader only for US clients. That makes it one of the forex prop firms open to US residents, a short list since 2024 — see prop firms for US traders for the alternatives.
Which E8 programme do traders choose?

Quantum Algo is an E8 Markets affiliate, which gives us a view few reviews have: what traders actually buy. Of 100 forex orders placed through our link between April and July 2026, 47 were E8 One, 26 E8 Pro and 8 E8 Signature, with the rest spread across other configurations. E8 One's adjustable rules are the main draw; E8 Pro attracts traders who want a static drawdown and daily payouts.
Disclosure: if you buy an E8 challenge through a Quantum Algo link we may earn a commission. That has no bearing on this review's rating or verdict, as set out in our editorial policy.
What are the pros and cons of E8 Markets?

What do traders say about E8 Markets?
E8 has thousands of Trustpilot reviews, most of them five-star, but as of October 2026 Trustpilot shows no overall score for the firm and displays a notice that it removed fake reviews. That does not prove anything about the firm's payouts, but it means the headline rating cannot be used as evidence either way. Read recent reviews about payouts and rule enforcement, check E8's current rules, and start with the smallest account that tests the rules you will actually trade.

Is E8 Markets worth it, and how does it fit with TradingView indicators?
E8 Markets suits traders who want to tune the rules to their style, US traders looking for a forex firm, and traders who value fast payouts. It suits less well traders who struggle with trailing drawdowns or who need TradingView execution. As with any firm, treat the fee as the cost of a test, not an investment, and pass with the same risk you would use on your own money.
Your analysis can stay on TradingView whichever platform you execute on. The free Quantum Algo indicators mark liquidity, structure and key levels, and Zeno, the premium engine, prints its own buy and sell signals with an entry, a stop and two targets — a fixed stop on every call makes daily-drawdown limits easier to plan around, and every call is on the public track record.
E8 Markets offers flexible one-step forex challenges, a futures programme, fast payouts and access for US traders. Its trailing drawdown on E8 One, the 40% best-day rule when funded, the 60-day activity rule and US platform limits are the details to plan around. Check the rules on the checkout page and size positions for the drawdown floor you actually have.
