Alpha Capital Group Review: Rules, Prices, Payouts and Trust Issues

Alpha Capital Group is a UK forex and CFD prop firm founded in 2021. It sells one-step (Alpha One), two-step (Alpha Pro 6%, 8% and 10%), swing and three-step challenges from about $40, with no time limits, an 80% profit split (90% as a paid add-on) and payouts bi-weekly or on demand through Rise, Wise or bank transfer. The rules are clear and the platforms (MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker, DXtrade) are good. The concerns are serious, though: in August 2026 Trustpilot removed its rating over fake reviews, and traders reported retroactive rule changes and denied payouts. It is not open to US residents.
Alpha Capital Group built a strong reputation quickly: clear rules, no time limits and fast payouts made it one of the better-known forex prop firms. Its record in 2026 is more mixed, with a new risk rule, complaints about denied payouts and a Trustpilot warning. This review uses real screenshots of the trader dashboard and checkout, plus the firm's published rules checked in October 2026, to cover every program, what it costs, how payouts work, what has gone wrong and who might still consider it.

What is Alpha Capital Group?
Alpha Capital Group is a proprietary trading firm registered in England (company number 13719951) and based in Harpenden. It was founded in 2021 by George Kohler and Andrew Blaylock. Like most online prop firms, it sells evaluations: you pay a fee, trade a simulated account under strict rules and, if you hit the profit target without breaking a loss limit, you get a funded account and keep most of the profit it makes.
The firm offers forex, indices, metals, energies and crypto CFDs. Trading runs through its partner broker, ACG Markets, which is regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority. Accounts are available on MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker and DXtrade.
Alpha Capital Group grew quickly on a reputation for clear rules, no time limits and quick payouts, and it says it has paid traders more than $100 million. Third-party trackers that only count verified payouts show a lower but still large figure (Payout Junction listed about $68 million in August 2026). Its 2026 record, covered below, is much more mixed.
If you are new to the model, our guide to what a prop firm is explains how evaluations, simulated capital and profit splits work.
What programs does Alpha Capital Group offer?
There are four families of challenge. The table shows the published rules for evaluation accounts.
| Program | Steps | Profit targets | Maximum loss | Daily loss | Minimum days | Leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha One | 1 | 10% | 6% trailing | 4% | 1 | 1:30 |
| Alpha Pro 6% | 2 | 6% / 6% | 6% static | 3% | 3 | 1:100 |
| Alpha Pro 8% | 2 | 8% / 5% | 8% static | 4% | 3 | 1:100 |
| Alpha Pro 10% | 2 | 10% / 5% | 10% static | 5% | 3 | 1:100 |
| Alpha Swing | 2 | 10% / 5% | 10% static | 5% | 3 | 1:30 |
| Alpha Three | 3 | 8% / 4% / 4% | 6% static | 4% | 3 | 1:50 |
All programs have no time limit. The daily loss limit is calculated from the initial balance and resets at midnight server time (GMT+2). Alpha Swing is the only program that allows holding over the weekend and trading through news on the funded account; it pays for that with lower leverage.
The differences matter more than the names suggest. Alpha One is the fastest route (one step, one minimum day) but its 6% maximum loss trails the equity high, which is far tighter in practice than a static limit. Alpha Pro 8% is the balanced middle option and the one most traders pick. Alpha Pro 10% gives the most room but needs the biggest first-phase target. Alpha Three spreads the target over three smaller steps.
How much does Alpha Capital Group cost?

Prices as listed at checkout in October 2026. Fees are one-off per attempt.
| Account size | Alpha One | Pro 6% | Pro 8% / Swing | Pro 10% | Alpha Three |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $50 | $40 | $77 | $50 | — |
| $10,000 | $97 | $67 | $147 | $97 | $67 |
| $25,000 | $197 | $137 | $247 | $197 | $157 |
| $50,000 | $297 | $237 | $357 | $297 | $247 |
| $100,000 | $497 | $427 | $577 | $497 | $397 |
| $200,000 | $997 | $847 | $1,097 | $997 | $697 |
The optional 90% profit split add-on adds about 10% to the price. Discount codes are common, so the list price is rarely what people pay. A Raw account type is also available with a commission of $5 per lot round trip on forex; other account types build the cost into the spread.
The maximum allocation is $400,000 per trader across accounts, with a scaling plan that can raise capital toward $2 million for consistent traders. Compare the price per $10,000 of buying power with other firms in our cheapest prop firms guide: Alpha Capital Group sits in the middle of the market, not at the bottom.
How do Alpha Capital Group payouts work?
Funded traders keep 80% of profits, or 90% with the add-on. There are two payout schedules:
- Bi-weekly: request a payout every 14 days with a minimum of $100.
- On demand: request whenever you like once you have at least 2% profit, but subject to a best-day rule: no single day may account for more than 40% of the profit in the payout period.
Payouts are paid through Rise (including crypto), Wise or bank transfer, and the firm says it processes them within two business days. Many traders report receiving payouts quickly, and the firm has a long list of verified payouts on public trackers. The complaints in 2026, covered below, are mainly about payouts being refused after review rather than paid late.
Before you request a payout, read the funded-account rules carefully, because that review is where breaches of lot limits, news rules or trading-style rules are checked.
What rules decide pass or fail?

The hard breaches are the same as at most firms: hit the daily loss limit or the maximum loss and the account is closed. On top of those, the funded-account rules are where traders most often get caught out:
- Lot size cap: on funded accounts, a maximum of 2.5 lots per $5,000 of balance at any one time.
- News trading: restrictions around high-impact news apply on funded accounts (Alpha Swing is the exception).
- Weekend holding: holding positions over the weekend on Pro funded accounts is a soft breach; trades can be closed and profit may be removed.
- Expert advisors: allowed on MT5 only, and subject to approval. Copy trading between traders, account management and group trading are banned.
- Inactivity: Pro accounts with no trades for 30 days are closed.
- Max Risk Rule: introduced for accounts bought after 21 July 2026, it caps the total risk you can have open on a trade idea. It is the rule behind many recent complaints, so read the current version before you buy.
The common thread: Alpha Capital Group wants to see consistent, risk-controlled trading that looks like it could work on a real account. Strategies built on big single trades, gambling on news or stacking many positions on one idea are the ones most likely to fail review. A plan for position sizing that keeps every trade well under the limits is the best protection.
Is Alpha Capital Group legit? The trust issues
Alpha Capital Group is a real, registered company that has paid out large sums to traders. It also has a set of problems that any buyer should know about, and they have grown more serious through 2026.
- Trustpilot rating removed. In August 2026 Trustpilot withdrew the firm's star rating and placed a warning on its page after finding evidence of fake reviews. The firm had more than 21,000 reviews at the time. A removed rating is a strong signal that the review count cannot be relied on.
- Denied payouts and retroactive rules. Through mid-2026 traders reported payouts refused for "gambling" or for breaking rules that, they say, were introduced or reinterpreted after they bought their accounts. The new Max Risk Rule for accounts bought after 21 July 2026 drew particular criticism.
- Earlier suspensions. In June 2024 the firm suspended around 150 accounts it linked to group trading. Some were later reinstated after review.
- Independent ratings fell. PropFirmMap downgraded its safety grade from A+ to D, and BestPropFirms scored it 43 out of 100 at the time of writing.
- Restrictive terms. The terms and conditions restrict public disparagement of the firm, which makes it harder to judge how widespread problems are.
The firm's side is that its rules are published, that reviews of funded accounts are needed to stop abuse and that most traders who follow the rules are paid. Both things can be true. What changed in 2026 is that the room for interpretation in the rules has become the main risk of buying a challenge here.
Our view: if you consider Alpha Capital Group, buy a small account first, keep screenshots of the rules on the day you buy, trade conservatively and request an early payout to test the process before committing more money. Firms with cleaner recent records are covered in our FTMO, The5ers and FundedNext reviews.

Which platforms and markets are available, and who can join?

Accounts run on MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker and DXtrade. There is no MetaTrader 4 and no TradingView-native trading; TradeLocker is the closest option for traders who like a TradingView-style chart, and our guide to prop firms that use TradingView covers alternatives.
Markets cover major, minor and exotic forex pairs, indices such as the US 30, US 100 and DAX, gold and silver, oil and a range of crypto CFDs. Leverage depends on the program: 1:100 on Alpha Pro, 1:50 on Alpha Three and 1:30 on Alpha One and Alpha Swing.
US residents cannot join: Alpha Capital Group paused US sign-ups in February 2024. Our guide to prop firms for US traders lists firms that do accept them. Residents of some sanctioned countries are also excluded.

How does Quantum Algo help with an Alpha Capital Group account?
Every prop firm challenge comes down to the same two things: finding trades with a real edge and keeping losses far inside the limits. The rules at Alpha Capital Group make the second part stricter than usual, because funded accounts are reviewed for risk, lot size and trading style before payouts.
The free Quantum Algo indicators mark structure, liquidity and key levels on TradingView so you can plan entries and stops before you place a trade on MT5 or cTrader. Zeno, the premium engine from Quantum Algo (QuantumAlgo), prints signals with an entry, a stop and two targets on forex, gold, indices and crypto, which makes it easy to size each trade within a daily loss limit. Every signal is on the public track record. Our prop firm trading strategy guide shows how to plan a challenge from the first trade.
Alpha Capital Group offers clear, no-time-limit challenges (Alpha One, Pro 6%, 8% and 10%, Swing and Three) from about $40, an 80% or 90% split and bi-weekly or on-demand payouts on MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker and DXtrade. Its 2026 record is the problem: Trustpilot removed its rating over fake reviews, and traders reported denied payouts and rules applied after purchase. If you use it, start small, save the rules on the day you buy, trade well inside every limit and test a payout early.

Questions traders ask about Alpha Capital Group
It is a registered UK company that has paid out large amounts to traders. However, in 2026 Trustpilot removed its rating over fake reviews and traders reported denied payouts and retroactive rule changes, so it carries more risk than its earlier reputation suggests.
Many traders receive payouts, often within two business days, and public trackers list a large verified payout history. Complaints in 2026 centre on payouts refused after review for rule breaches the traders dispute.
Each program has a profit target, a daily loss limit from the initial balance and a maximum loss (trailing on Alpha One, static on the others). Funded accounts add a lot cap of 2.5 lots per $5,000, news and weekend rules on Pro accounts and a Max Risk Rule for accounts bought after 21 July 2026.
From about $40 for a $5,000 Alpha Pro 6% account to $1,097 for a $200,000 Alpha Pro 8% or Swing account. The 90% profit split add-on adds about 10%.
No. None of the programs has a time limit, but funded Pro accounts are closed after 30 days without a trade.
MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker and DXtrade. Expert advisors are allowed on MT5 only, with approval.
No. US sign-ups have been paused since February 2024.
Trustpilot withdrew the rating in August 2026 after finding evidence of fake reviews. It means the large review count should not be relied on as a measure of trader experience.
A rule introduced for accounts bought after 21 July 2026 that limits the total risk you can open on a single trade idea. Read the current wording on the firm's help centre before buying, since it has been the source of many disputes.
